Our client, a distinguished New Orleans law firm, is looking for a Legal Assistant to join their team and provide essential support to a group of attorneys. This full-time role involves handling complex legal, administrative, and clerical tasks in a collaborative and professional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and format legal documents, transcribe, edit, and manage documents for client cases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.

  • Coordinate e-filings and other state court filings as needed.

  • Manage and organize attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, and client appointments.

  • Maintain client files and records in both digital and physical formats, ensuring efficient retrieval and secure storage.

  • Assist with billing processes, including timesheet management and expense reimbursement.

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or business certificate is a plus.

  • Minimum of 2 years of legal assistant or secretarial experience in a law firm setting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a solid understanding of legal terminology and court procedures.
