Our client, a distinguished New Orleans law firm, is looking for a Legal Assistant to join their team and provide essential support to a group of attorneys. This full-time role involves handling complex legal, administrative, and clerical tasks in a collaborative and professional environment.
Responsibilities:

Prepare and format legal documents, transcribe, edit, and manage documents for client cases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.

Coordinate e-filings and other state court filings as needed.

Manage and organize attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, and client appointments.

Maintain client files and records in both digital and physical formats, ensuring efficient retrieval and secure storage.

Assist with billing processes, including timesheet management and expense reimbursement.
Required:

High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or business certificate is a plus.

Minimum of 2 years of legal assistant or secretarial experience in a law firm setting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a solid understanding of legal terminology and court procedures.
