Collision Claim Technician 18hrly plus Flexible hours Overview: The Claim Technician is responsible for diagnosing vehicle issues, authorizing only necessary repairs, and ensuring clear communication between repair facilities, clients, and service advisors. This role requires a solid understanding of vehicle systems—both mechanical and electrical—along with strong problem-solving and communication skills to provide accurate guidance and support. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and direct drivers to appropriate repair facilities (mechanical and/or collision). Communicate effectively with repair shops and clients to discuss vehicle concerns and service needs. Review and approve required repairs, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness. Document all interactions and updates in the vehicle record within the company’s computer system. Create and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and certificates (mechanical focus). Keep detailed logs of work performed and issues encountered. Qualifications: Basic knowledge of vehicle systems, including mechanical and electrical components. Strong communication skills to interact with service advisors and customers in clear, understandable terms. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
