Water Jet Cutting Technician
Responsibilities:
Water jet cutter operators set up and operate a water jet cutter
- Designed to cut excess material from a metal workpiece by using a high-pressure jet of water, or an abrasive substance mixed with water.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions or failures
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations and maintenance activities
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to work out of town/travel for 2-21+ days at a time
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining, laser cutting, plasma cutting, lathe, and other machining techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills for collaborating with team members
Must have a valid driver license, clean driving record, clean background and pass a random monthly drug test
Pay: $15-$19 DOE
