The Building Maintenance Technician will perform routine electrical, plumbing, masonry, carpentry and other maintenance and repairs required on structures, facilities, equipment.

Performs general maintenance, replacement tasks and minor plumbing repairs to restrooms, drinking fountains and plumbing fixtures.

Performs minor electrical repairs, replacement and installation tasks of various electrical components.

Prepares and performs various special projects as required including: painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, locks and office remodeling.

Performs preventative maintenance inspections of University buildings.

Performs other work as assigned by Superintendent.
REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in building maintenance or commercial/industrial construction required.

Excellent customer service skills, ability to work effectively on a team and exceptional interpersonal skills required.

Ability to work in a diverse environment required.

Demonstrated ability to take initiate and problem solving skills required.

Ability to prioritize and manage projects effectively required. Proven track record of dependability and commitment required. Valid driver's license required.
