Audit Manager, CPA, for future partner-track with 2-10 years of experience in public accounting.
Responsible for leading and managing audit engagements, with a focus on not-for-profit and CIRA clients. This role requires a deep understanding of not-for-profit and CIRA accounting principles, excellent project management skills, and the ability to foster strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing including planning, performing and reviewing audit engagements. This individual should be very organized, dependable, professional, and a quick learner. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients and provide strategic advice, contributing to their financial success.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Develop audit strategies and risk assessments tailored to each client's unique environment.

Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and technical expertise.

Review financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Communicate effectively with clients to address issues, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.

Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting not-for-profit organizations.

Assist in business development efforts by identifying opportunities for additional services and maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

EA, CPA or CPA candidate
-
Minimum of 5 years of relevant audit experience in public accounting.

Strong knowledge of GAAS, GAAP, not-for-profit accounting standards.

Proficiency in audit software (e.g., Advance Flow, GoFileRoom) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent leadership, project management, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.

Experience with audit research tools (e.g., CCH, RIA Checkpoint) is a plus.

Position requirements:

Bachelors or Master’s Degree in accounting or tax

Strong verbal and written communication skills

5+ years of recent tax return preparation or auditing within a public accounting firm
