Maintains benefits programs, policies & procedures.

 

REQUIRED

  • Only between 3 - 5 years consistent HR Benefits experience

  • Experience with FMLA, ADA, Short/Long Term Disability Leaves & knowledge about all leaves to assist with managing the company's leave process.

  • Develops benefits communication, evaluates existing benefits programs, and responds to employee benefit-related questions.

 

DESIRED

  • Experience with 401K plans and other retirement plans.

  • Has knowledge about audits

 

IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION IF

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the Human Resources and Benefits function. Monitors exposure of the company. Directs the participation of information requested or required for compliance. Approves information submitted.

  • Supports management’s decision making by analyzing benefit options and predicting future costs.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; obtaining qualified opinions; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

  • Assists in managing the company leave process including FMLA, ADA, company leave, etc.

  • Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.

  • Reconciles benefits accounts by approving billing statements and preparing purchase orders.

  • Assists with Open Enrollments Process and tuition reimbursement processes.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Skills Requirements:

  • Between 5 and 10 years of direct HR experience.

  • Working knowledge of employment legislation.

  • Knowledge of Benefits Practices and Procedures in all areas of the Human Resources Function.
