We are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Billing Collections Specialist to work Remotely for a medical device company. In this role you will be responsible for providing timely Accounts Receivable follow up for billing customers. Exercise accountability and professionalism in maintaining the high level of service our customers deserve.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide timely accounts receivable follow up on unpaid claims.

  • Identifies and communicates any billing issues that are causing claims to be unpaid. Works with the appropriate individuals to correct issues.

  • Member of a cohesive team that works to maintain the AR for customers.

  • Troubleshoot reimbursement issues and claim follow-up.

  • Updates the BSR or preferred mechanism of communication with all communication/activity performed on the account for yourself.

  • Works with Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance companies to resolve outstanding Accounts Receivable issues.

  • Works with clients to resolve A/R issues that require additional documentation that only the agency can provide.

  • Keeps the Billing Team Lead and Manager informed of cross-departmental concerns, Ex. Payment posting issues, Claim submission issues, etc.

  • Maintains a clean and up to date aging and claims tracking.

  • Builds relationships with clients regarding their billing needs and assist with claim resolutions as needed.

  • Addresses client concerns in a timely manner.

  • Escalates unresolved customer grievances to the proper department, or management for further assessment.

  • Understands current Medicare rules, regulations, billing codes.

  • Understands current Commercial insurances rules, regulations, billing codes.

  • Maintain confidentiality and knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of progressive Healthcare billing experience (Home healthcare, senior living, or Hospice preferred)

  • Ability to work independently
