We are currently looking for a Recruitment Specialist with healthcare industry,biotech and/or research experience to work in the La Jolla area. This would be a contract role to assist during a system implementation until August 2020. If you have previous experience with full-cycle recruiting, then we are looking for you to join the team.


We are currently looking for a Contract Recruiting Specialist to work for a nonprofit company in the La Jolla area. The team is currently implementing a new system and will need assistance with full-cycle recruiting. If you have previous experience recruiting for entry level, IT, marketing, and management roles in the healthcare, biotech, or research industry, then we are looking for you to join the team!

Contract: August of 2020

Hours: Monday-Friday preferably between 8:30am-5pm

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for full-cycle recruitment for multiple requisitions at once including drafting and posting job ads, sourcing passive candidates, interviewing and screening potential candidates to ensure they meet employment and position qualifications, scheduling interviews/coordinating appointments, generating background checks, and administering new hire paperwork for driver candidates as assigned.

  • Reviews and screens resumes and presents qualified candidates to managers

  • Conducts pre-screening and phone screening interviews as requested.

  • Makes verbal job offers upon written internal confirmation.

  • Handles new hire orientation and new hire paperwork.

  • Work with outside agencies to assist with hard to fill roles and temporary positions.

  • Maintains and updates candidate details in applicant tracking software.



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 2 plus years of full cycle recruiting experience within the healthcare industry/biotech/research

  • Experienced with hiring regulations, background check requirements and references

  • OFCCP recruitment and compliance regulation preferred
