Brokers Associate (Commercial Real Estate)

We are currently looking for a Brokers Associate to work for a Commercial Real Estate company in the Oakland area. In this role you will be responsible for lease negotiations,securing client relationships and delivery, management, and reporting related to commercial real estate portfolio management and transactions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop new business primarily through in-person contacts, phone calls, canvassing and follow-up to include: presentations to those who influence decisions and decision-makers and schedule face-to-face contact with prospective candidates requiring commercial real estate needs.

  • Execute the overall leasing plan for a portfolio of properties and make recommendations for adjustments as needed

  • Thoroughly understand the dynamics of the portfolio, including market characteristics, supply/demand trends, leasing fundamentals and market participants

  • Research comparable sales, listings and rentals

  • Lead recurring broker leasing meetings

  • Directly negotiate lease renewals and expansions, without the support of 3rd party brokers

  • Working collaboratively with each listing broker, create and execute a marketing plan for each asset

  • Support in the underwriting, due diligence and onboarding of new acquisitions

  • Work collaboratively across departments to contribute to a strategic plan each asset within the portfolio

  • Participate in the updating of departmental policies and developing and implementing best practices as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required; preferably in business or related field

  • 3 plus years of experience in commercial real estate/leasing, preferably in industrial
