Pay Rate/Range: $15 per hour plus $4.41 health and welfare = $19.41 per hour
Job Description: Must be able to work independently, learn building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash. Service, cleaning, and supply restrooms. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Notify management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems, i.e., broken toilet seats, dispensers, plumbing issues, etc. Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow-melting chemicals. Request supplies and equipment used for daily cleaning. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Dilute concentrated chemicals in correct proportions according to manufacturer’s specifications for ready to use solutions. Steam-clean or shampoo carpets. Floor finish removal/application and polish floors. Emergency services, as needed, i.e., water extraction. Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial scrubbers/sweepers, as applicable to your position.
Job Requirements: Must have regular and punctual attendance Must be able to work independently if assigned to clean/maintain the Child Development Centers at Tinker Air Force Base, must provide immunization records and/or be willing to receive immunizations. If assigned to clean/maintain the Child Development Centers at Tinker Air Force Base, must provide annual flu vaccine record or be willing to submit to annual flu vaccine. Experience in janitorial service or completion of a certified janitorial program is preferred, but not required. Must be 18 years old or older Must be able to pass background checks that are required to enter work site Must meet badge requirements for all assigned buildings. Report any malfunction of equipment to Lead immediately so maintenance or replacement actions can take place in a timely manner. Report any unsafe conditions to Lead or Supervisor. Report any emergencies to Lead or Supervisor. Respond to any other request that is made by your Lead Person or higher authority.
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Shift/Schedule: 1st shift Monday – Friday 7am to 3:30PM 2nd shift Monday – Friday 4PM to 12:30AM occasionally a Saturday and sometimes hours may vary due to workload
