Position Title: Industrial Millwright

Overview:
The Industrial Millwright plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment within industrial settings. They are responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Erect, assemble, and install machinery and equipment according to specifications and blueprints. Ensure proper alignment and calibration of machinery components.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair: Diagnose mechanical issues and malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Conduct repairs or replacements of defective parts to restore functionality.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective measures to resolve issues promptly. Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint problems accurately.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other safety regulations while working on machinery.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Keep track of inventory and spare parts to ensure availability when needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and production staff to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.

Work Environment:

non-climate-controlled warehouse involves working in extreme hot temperatures, often around ovens that can reach up to 3000 degrees Fahrenheit!

Schedule:

Working 12 hour shifts - must be open to nights AND days. (Swing shift)

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques is desirable.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in conducting inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Communication: Clear and concise communication skills to convey information effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Physical Stamina: Capable of performing tasks that may require lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications such as a Millwright license or equivalent is advantageous.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
