Machine Operator

• Machine operators needed manufacturing company off of Fulton Industrial Blvd.

• Operate plastic extruders safely, efficiency, to plan, to specs, to the desired quality, while minimizing scrap.

• Willingness to cross-train on different extruder.

• Safely and efficiently operate the machine to meet production requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Responsible to set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment and processes.

• Ensure changeover is completed as per standard.

• Ensure equipment and set-up parameters are established, followed and improved.

• Ensure materials required for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups.

• Ensure product is packed and identified as per specifications.

• Ensure accurate inventory and effective control of materials and supplies.

• Ensure the work center's downtime is minimized by ensuring proper equipment set-ups, material is present prior to changeover and report lack of raw materials, tooling and / or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.

• Intermediate arithmetic skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to occasionally lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs.

• Some computer knowledge.

• Some basic mechanical aptitude.

• Some machine operator experience preferably with down line equipment

• Steel toed shoes are required.
