This job encompass all aspects of maintenance work including but not limited to, building repairs such as painting and sheetrock repair, heaters, furnaces and air conditioners. Grounds and yard up keep. Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, mechanical power transmission systems, automotive repair, welding, etc.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Repair of building systems including lighting, plumbing, roof repairs, snow removal, moving of objects and machinery.

Perform mechanical and electrical repairs of machinery and equipment such as compressors, sand blasters, forklifts, cranes / overhead and mobile, trucks, presses, shears, welding equipment, etc.

Record Keeping-must be able to retrieve work from computer based work order system and record actions of work performed.

Must have the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and sketches, parts and maintenance manuals. Do research necessary to find repair parts for all types of machinery and equipment.

Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on machinery, equipment, vehicles, buildings, etc.

Must have the ability to work with outside vendors and contractors.

Must be able to assess, plan and carry out a safe work plan for varying situations and environments.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or hire date before 5/10/96. Post high school technical courses our experience a plus.




Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Read and interpret manuals, work instructions, drawings and exploded view parts breakdowns.

Must have the ability to clearly report circumstances and details to others.



Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16". Ability to read micrometers and calipers to .001”. Ability to read and understand charts and graphs.



Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in all situations.



Will be required to obtain forklift or overhead crane licenses and driver’s license.



Must be able to use internet based maintenance management system (Facility Dude). Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook, Syteline, Word, and Excel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
