Data Entry Clerk – Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to accurately input and maintain data across various systems. The ideal candidate will have strong typing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Enter data into databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems with accuracy
Review and verify data for errors or inconsistencies
Update and maintain existing records
Prepare and sort documents before data entry
Generate reports and retrieve data as requested
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in data entry or similar administrative role preferred
Strong typing skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and data entry software
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and time-management skills
