As the preferred subject matter experts, they collaborate closely with existing clients and prospects to bring ideas and concepts into a tangible, customized solution.

 

These custom-engineered products are realized thru white-glove services which include design, prototyping, testing, tooling, quality management, and manufacturing for clientele, which includes many of the Fortune 100 organizations in the transportation industry.

  

The Business Development Specialist will consult with prospects to sell prefabricated products while also promoting engineering services.

 

Core Skills & Competencies:

  • Collaborate with both prospects, existing clients, and our internal team to articulate the specific engineering requirements for parts/components.

  • Engages with customers and prospects to understand their requirements, recommending suitable products and services to meet those needs.

  • Illustrates how products or services can fulfill customer requirements through demonstrations.

  • Maintains customer satisfaction by managing relationships and addressing any post-sales concerns.

  • Keeps in touch with current and past clients, informing them about new offerings or updates that might interest them.

  • Documents all sales activities meticulously, including calls, orders, sales outcomes, lost business, and any issues in customer or vendor relationships.

  • Provides regular sales forecasts for assigned territories.

  • Completes additional tasks as necessary.

 

Essential Skills/Abilities: 

  • Exceptional sales, collaborative, customer service, and negotiation capabilities.

  • Solid attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, occasionally high-pressure environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field, OR

  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience is required.
