Are you a hands on automotive professional looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll work on a variety of vehicles and engines, perform detailed inspections, and contribute to cutting edge test procedures.

 

You’ll be responsible for everything from tune ups and valve adjustments to engine removals and diagnostic troubleshooting using advanced tools. Plus, you’ll have the chance to get involved in fabrication, fluid systems, and even support R&D testing activities—all while working independently and taking ownership of your tasks.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow detailed written and verbal instructions for testing and inspection procedures.

  • Manually or electronically adjust engine valves according to specified test protocols.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and project leaders regarding test outcomes and status.

  • Prepare, extract, and label test specimens in accordance with established procedures.

  • Conduct routine maintenance on engines and test stands.

  • Perform various mechanical tasks, including engine tune-ups, fluid and filter changes, transmission and cylinder head removals, tire replacement, and fuel tank servicing.

  • Install and remove test engines, pumps, and components; disassemble pumps; perform stand maintenance.

  • Utilize diagnostic tools (e.g., scanners, voltmeters, computer software) to troubleshoot engine and test stand performance issues.

  • Carry out fabrication and plumbing tasks as required.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on automotive experience.

  • Proficient in basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations.

  • Strong understanding of automotive engines, fluids, and related components.

  • Comfortable using diagnostic tools and entering test data into computer systems.

  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and follow mechanical instructions.

  • Capable of recognizing engine performance issues and taking appropriate action or seeking assistance.

  • Able to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted, and more with assistance as needed.

  • Must adhere to all safety procedures and work in environments that may involve high heat, noise, and fumes.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with others.

  • Skilled in the use of hand tools and powered hand tools.
