Lab Technician

Job Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on support equipment, including cooling towers, air compressors, dryers, boilers, chillers, etc.

Adhere to a scheduled maintenance plan and meticulously document all completed tasks.

Promptly address mechanical malfunctions to minimize laboratory downtime.

Follow instructions from supervisors, lead personnel, and project leaders.

Work independently or collaboratively with other shop personnel.

Learn the installation of steel/PVC pipe plumbing and basic welding and fabrication techniques.

Be available for overtime, holiday, and weekend work as necessary.

Safely operate common laboring tools, hand tools, and shop equipment.
Job Requirements:

Preferably possess 2+ years of experience.

Basic skills or previous experience in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, or maintenance work are advantageous.

Demonstrate the ability to work independently or collaboratively with other shop personnel.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Completion of on-the-job training or formal vocational classes focusing on basic mechanical skills is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Capable of lifting 50 lbs unassisted.
