Summary

Participates in the design and implementation of new systems and modification of existing applications. Effectively and efficiently work as a member of a team or independently under general supervision to support the general Network Environment and Operations systems.

Participate in the design and implementation of new systems and modification of existing hardware or applications.

Requires knowledge of the specific tools, procedures and resources necessary for successful customer service.

Serve as an escalation point for device outage.

Responsible for supporting, tracking, monitoring and reviewing the active support queues to ensure timely resolution of service tickets.

Responsibilities

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant technical experience and 3 years of industry experience is preferred. Requires an understanding of Cisco routers, switches, Firewalls, VPN’s. Also requires an understanding of Structured Cabling, LAN/WAN, VLANS, STP or VoIP, TACACS, SNMP, QOS. Requires a demonstrated knowledge of OSI Layers. Must have an understanding of IP address and Subnetting.

Education and Certifications

BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Relevant technical or industry experience will also be considered.

Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Specialist or equivalent. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred.
