Medical Assistant
Full Time | Temp to Perm | $17/hour+DOE
An Orthopedic Medical Assistant supports physicians and healthcare providers in an orthopedic clinic or hospital setting.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with patient examinations, casting, splinting, and dressing changes
Administering injections, taking vitals, and performing phlebotomy
Preparing exam rooms and ensuring proper sterilization of medical equipment
Scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling prior authorizations
Educating patients on post-treatment care and orthopedic procedures
Documenting patient information in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
Ideal candidates have experience in orthopedics, strong patient care skills, and proficiency in EMR systems.
Requirements:
At least two years in a clinical setting working as a medical assistant
Certified or registered medical assistant preferred
Previous orthopedic experience a plus
Great work ethic and attendance
