Certified Medical Coder – Orthopedic Trauma
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $25+/hour DOE (Certification through AAPC required)
Location: Local candidates only – remote/hybrid option available
We are looking for an experienced Certified Medical Coder with a strong background in orthopedic coding, particularly trauma. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Accurately code and post office visits and surgical charges.
Ensure coding compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
Communicate with physicians to clarify documentation and provide coding education.
Partner with the billing team to resolve denials and address coding/billing questions.
Stay up to date on industry changes and best practices.
Requirements:
Current coding certification (CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
Minimum 1–2 years of orthopedic coding experience (required).
Proficiency with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
Strong computer and documentation skills.
Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
Knowledge of billing processes and compliance standards.
Position Details:
Full-time, M–F 8:00–5:00
Hybrid schedule: in-office and/or remote
