We are seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join a team of outstanding female OBGYNs. Since 1991, the practice has been providing quality gynecologic and obstetric care to the women of Tulsa and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state

  • Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

  • Proven clinical experience in women's health, preferably in a primary care or OBGYN setting

  • Strong knowledge of women's health issues, including gynecology, reproductive health, prenatal care, and menopausal management

  • Proficiency in performing gynecological exams, Pap smears, and other women's health screenings

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care

  • Dedication to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive women's health assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and screenings

  • Diagnosing and treating common women's health conditions, such as reproductive health issues, gynecological infections, menstrual disorders, and menopausal symptoms

  • Providing family planning services, including contraceptive counseling, prescribing and fitting contraceptives, and educating patients about reproductive health

  • Performing routine gynecological exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and other screenings

  • Managing prenatal care for expectant mothers, including prenatal visits, monitoring fetal development, and providing education on pregnancy and childbirth

  • Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal care for pregnant women

  • Providing counseling and education on sexual and reproductive health, including STD prevention, fertility awareness, and preconception care

  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds and laboratory tests, and developing appropriate treatment plans based on results

  • Prescribing medications and providing follow-up care, monitoring treatment effectiveness and managing side effects

  • Educating patients about women's health issues, self-care practices, and preventive measures

  • Documenting patient encounters accurately and efficiently in electronic health record (EHR) systems

  • Staying updated with the latest advancements and research in women's health through continuing education and professional development activities
