Temporary Patient Service Representative | Tulsa, OK | $16.74/hour and goes up DOE
Duration: 4–6 weeks, with possibility of extension


Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Temporary Patient Service Representative to support front-end operations at a local hospital. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, assisting with registration, insurance verification, and appointment check-in. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner

  • Verify insurance information and collect necessary co-payments

  • Register patients and update demographic and insurance data accurately in the EMR system

  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as needed

  • Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate departments

  • Provide basic information regarding hospital services and policies

  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the department supervisor


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical front office, hospital, or clinic setting preferred in a customer service capacity

  • Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar)

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
