Temporary Patient Service Representative | Tulsa, OK | $16.74/hour and goes up DOE
Duration: 4–6 weeks, with possibility of extension
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Temporary Patient Service Representative to support front-end operations at a local hospital. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, assisting with registration, insurance verification, and appointment check-in. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner
Verify insurance information and collect necessary co-payments
Register patients and update demographic and insurance data accurately in the EMR system
Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as needed
Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate departments
Provide basic information regarding hospital services and policies
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the department supervisor
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
At least 1 year of experience in a medical front office, hospital, or clinic setting preferred in a customer service capacity
Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Must have previous customer service and phone experience
