Medical Assistant

Full Time | Temp to Perm | $17/hour+DOE

An Orthopedic Medical Assistant supports physicians and healthcare providers in an orthopedic clinic or hospital setting. 

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with patient examinations, casting, splinting, and dressing changes

• Administering injections, taking vitals, and performing phlebotomy

• Preparing exam rooms and ensuring proper sterilization of medical equipment

• Scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling prior authorizations

• Educating patients on post-treatment care and orthopedic procedures

• Documenting patient information in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance

Ideal candidates have experience in orthopedics, strong patient care skills, and proficiency in EMR systems.

Requirements:

At least two years in a clinical setting working as a medical assistant

Certified or registered medical assistant preferred

Previous orthopedic experience a plus

Great work ethic and attendance
