Orthopedic Medical Assistant
Tulsa, OK | $22–$24/hour | Monday–Friday
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Orthopedic Medical Assistant to join our team in Tulsa. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a busy orthopedic practice.
Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients, recording medical histories, vitals, and chief complaints
Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
Assist providers during orthopedic exams and procedures, including casting, splinting, and dressing changes
Perform diagnostic tests (e.g., EKG, X-rays if certified) and document results in the EMR system
Manage prescription refills, referrals, and prior authorizations
Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and stock supplies
Provide patient education on care plans, medications, and post-procedure instructions
Collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to support smooth patient flow
Qualifications:
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred (CMA/RMA)
Previous experience in orthopedics or a specialty clinic strongly preferred
Proficiency in EMR systems
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion in a fast-paced environment
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time, Monday–Friday (standard business hours)
Competitive pay: $22–$24/hour, based on experience

Qualifications
- At least two years of clinical medical assisting experience
