Job Title: Orthopedic Medical Assistant (Registered or Certified)
Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday: 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 7:45 AM – 12:00 PM (clinic closes at noon)
Compensation: $18–$25 per hour (based on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Orthopedic Medical Assistant to join our team in Tulsa, OK. The ideal candidate will be registered or certified, with prior total joint experience, and able to manage both direct patient care and administrative responsibilities.
This role requires someone detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced orthopedic practice.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with patient care in an orthopedic clinic setting, with a focus on total joint patients
Perform patient check-in and check-out functions, ensuring accuracy in paperwork, insurance, and scheduling
Take patient vitals, document medical history, prepare rooms, and assist with procedures
Handle all authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications independently
Support physicians and providers in day-to-day operations
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinic standards
Collaborate with providers, staff, and patients to ensure a positive experience
Qualifications
Registered or Certified Medical Assistant (required)
Orthopedic/total joint experience preferred
Strong knowledge of authorizations, referrals, and pre-certification processes
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong computer and EMR proficiency
