Medical Assistant – Neurology Clinic (Surgery Authorizations Focus)
Location: Tulsa, OK
Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Overview:
A well-established neurology clinic is seeking a dependable and experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join their team. This role will focus heavily on surgical authorizations and supporting providers with day-to-day clinic operations. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in pre-surgical processes, this could be a great fit!

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle surgery authorizations with a strong understanding of payer requirements and timelines
• Order ancillary services for the provider
• Collaborate with providers and surgical coordinators to ensure all documentation is complete and accurate
• Room patients, take vitals, and update medical records in eClinicalWorks (ECW)
• Assist with patient communications, scheduling, and follow-ups
• Maintain a professional, compassionate demeanor in a fast-paced specialty clinic
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting (neurology or surgical specialty preferred but not required)
• Prior experience with surgical authorization processes is preferred
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (ECW) strongly preferred
• Certification is not required, but strong clinical knowledge and reliability are a must
