Job Title: Industrial Painter II
Department: Paint
Shift: 1st (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday)
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Reports To: Assembly Lead, Production Lead, or Manager
Summary:
The Industrial Painter II is responsible for preparing, blasting, and painting parts according to customer specifications. This role includes organizing materials, mixing paints, maintaining records, and safely operating equipment such as cranes and sprayers.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow safety protocols and attend required meetings
Complete necessary paperwork and logs for each job
Read blueprints and identify correct materials
Set up and operate blasting and painting equipment
Mix and apply various coatings such as zinc primer, epoxy, and polyurethane
Collaborate with quality control, drivers, and other teams
Wear proper protective equipment, including a respirator, at all times
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
3–5 years of industrial painting and blasting experience
Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and use paint-related tools
Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods
