What you will be doing as a Sitework Estimator:

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for earthwork, grading, excavation, and related site preparation projects.
• Analyze civil plans, topography, and soil reports to determine quantities and production needs.
• Create and maintain estimating spreadsheets and templates using Microsoft Excel.
• Review and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing for completeness and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and engineers to ensure scope accuracy.
• Assist with budgeting, job costing, and financial tracking throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure estimates are realistic, well-documented, and reflect current market conditions.
• Identify potential cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality and schedule.
• Support continuous improvement by reviewing completed projects and applying lessons learned.

A successful candidate for this Sitework Estimator role will possess:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in dirt work or civil construction estimating.
• Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, and heavy equipment operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Ability to read and interpret site plans, grading drawings, and technical specs.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
