Purchasing Agent

Overview

We’re looking for a results-driven Light Industrial Purchasing Agent to manage procurement activities within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in sourcing quality materials, negotiating with vendors, and optimizing purchasing strategies to support production efficiency and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for industrial materials and equipment

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors

• Issue purchase orders and track the delivery of goods

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to ensure timely restocking

• Maintain supplier relationships and resolve any discrepancies or delays

• Conduct cost analysis and market research to improve procurement performance

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to forecast material needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field

• 2–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing procurement

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software

• Knowledge of industrial materials and equipment

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
