MESQUITE, TX
The Bilingual Pre-Weigh Technician is responsible for performing pre-weigh activities in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This includes accurately weighing, measuring, and subdividing components used in manufacturing processes. All operations must be properly supervised, and each dispensed component must be verified by a second individual to ensure correctness and accuracy.
Shift & Compensation
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Overtime: Available as needed
Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities (Based on CFR 21 Part 211; Section 211.101)
Follow all procedures outlined in SOP DHA-09.
Prior to pre-weighing:
Ensure the weigh area is cleared of materials from previous operations.
Perform cleaning procedures and complete the Weight Room Cleaning Log.
Wear required PPE: apron, gloves, arm covers, and hairnet.
Verify that the component name or item code is correct.
Ensure receiving or control numbers are present on containers and recorded in the batch record.
Accurately weigh or measure materials and document values in the batch record.
Confirm that the component has been released by the Quality Control Unit and is suitable for use.
Label the weighed batch as specified by SOP DHA-09.
Palletize and identify pre-weighed materials per SOP DHA-09 requirements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a personal care manufacturing environment or a similar quality/auditing background.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical documents.
Capable of responding to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Mathematical Skills
Proficient in mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and basic statistics.
Understanding of geometry and trigonometry is a plus.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
Comfortable interpreting complex instructions in written, mathematical, and diagram formats.
Physical Demands
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Regularly required to walk, sit, use hands, reach, speak, and hear.
Must have close visual acuity for data entry, inspection, and reading.
