TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Machine Operator in the Houston, TX (77040) area!
WORK ENVIRONMENT
In-Person, Production Area
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal parts.
- Select tools and machine programs for efficient production.
- Load/unload material safely and follow all safety procedures.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Inspect parts using measuring tools to ensure quality.
Support preventive maintenance and cross-train in other roles.
Meet production goals and complete required documentation.
Requirements:
2–5 years of press brake or similar machine experience.
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a non-air-conditioned shop.
Must pass background check, physical, and drug screen.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive work.
- Walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping.
- Several large, loud machines operate at once.
- Non-air-conditioned shop, temperature conditions like outdoors, proper ventilation exists.
PAY RATE
$15/hour
SCHEDULE
Night Shift: 3:30pm – 12:00am (30-minute lunch)
