Qualifications:
1. Custodial experience or training may be required.
2. Understanding of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
3. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a background check .
4. Strong communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
5. Flexibility to adjust their schedule to suit the needs of the church.
6. Motivation to work independently or with others to provide thorough, efficient custodial services to the church.
7. Mechanical ability and experience
8. Reliable transportation to and from work
9. Ability to follow written and oral instructions
10. Must be dependable
Essential Job Functions:
? Maintaining clean church facilities by performing weekly duties and daily spot cleaning in all public areas of the building, including bathrooms, sanctuary, kitchens, offices, hallways, fellowship hall, pulpit, chapels, and meeting rooms.
? Working with other maintenance team members and church staff to ensure that all areas are cleaned and stocked with necessary items.
? Upon scheduling at times pick up and transportation of supplies/good in company vehicle.
? Observing proper chemical handling procedures when working with cleaning agents, including wearing gloves, goggles, or masks and following written or verbal instructions.
? Performing maintenance, such as changing light bulbs and restocking bathrooms, and making repairs.
? Assisting with event/meeting room preparation set up and clean up.
? Securing closing church properties as well as opening facilities as scheduled.
? Taking inventory of cleaners and other supplies and submitting requests when items need to be replenished.
? Interacting with church staff and visitors in a respectful, positive manner.
? Other duties as assigned.
