Packing Line Operator - 3rd Shift 9:00pm - 5:00am

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Packaging Line Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating packaging equipment, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various packaging tasks based on rotational position, including:
  • Pre-labeling tubs with correct labels as per packaging specifications.
  • Operating and resetting alarms on Line 1 & Line 2 tub conveyors.
  • Loading tubs onto the line to maintain consistent tub flow under the scale.
  • Operating basic scale functions and resetting alarms.
  • Managing lid machine operation, loading lids, and ensuring proper closure.
  • Ensuring proper code printing with good visibility per spec book.
  • Packing tubs into cardboard boxes and printing correct box codes.
  • Palletizing products per configuration guidelines.
  • Operating baggers and ensuring proper bag sealing (for Line 3 operators).
  • Handling glue loading for box closers and other packaging-related tasks.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure proper labels, lids, boxes, and codes are used.
• Break down and clean scales, baggers, conveyors, cooling tunnels, and spiral freezers.
• Properly dispose of waste via designated routes.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety laws, and company policies.
• Report any machine malfunctions to the Production Supervisor and Maintenance team.
• Assist in training new Packaging Line Operators.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to work in cold environments and stand for the entire shift.
• Task-oriented with a strong focus on efficiency and quality control.
• Prior experience in a production or packaging environment is a plus.
