- Responsible for:
- Set up and organize the operation of the high-temperature short time (HTST) pasteurizer.
- Ensures that all tanks, lines, and filters are properly cleaned prior to use (cleaned and sanitized.)
- Monitors all equipment for compliance to HACCP
- Monitors all products for temperature, processing, and cooling, does not operate if temperatures are not correct.
- Ensures that all charts and documents meet company, state, and federal requirements, (complete, accurate, correctly dated, marked and signed etc.)
- Plans product flow to having an efficient workday and minimize downtime in the plant to a minimum
- Works with team members to help them understand priorities and collaborate on planning to meet operational goals.
- Follows food safety policies and sanitation regulations HACCP, GMP
- Report all injuries to your supervisor or manager at the time of injury.
- Clean the HTST equipment
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment
- Will perform Chemical Titration during the cleaning
- Collect cream samples in an aseptic manner

CIP System operation
- Set up and operate the rinsing system before the daily running of all operations to ensure there is no chemical residue in the tanks and lines.
- Post run - CIP of all tanks, lines and HTST system.
- Ensure the chemical levels, including PH, are measured during the cleaning.
