Are you passionate about stewardship, service, and supporting faith-based ministries? Our client is seeking a Foundation Finance and Engagement Officer to join their team. This unique role blends accounting expertise with relational engagement to help ministries across the state grow their resources for greater impact.
Position Summary:
The Finance and Engagement Officer plays a key role in ensuring financial operations run smoothly while providing excellent service to ministry partners. This role combines internal accounting functions with external relationship-building to deliver accurate financial reporting, client support, and stewardship guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations (60%)

Maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, and account reconciliations

Process contributions, disbursements, and fund activity for investment accounts

Assist with month-end and year-end close, audit preparation, and compliance

Support investment portfolio management and coordination with custodial services
Client & Partner Engagement (30%)

Serve as a primary point of contact for churches, Wesley Foundations, and nonprofits

Deliver clear and timely quarterly and annual financial statements

Collaborate with leadership to enhance the clarity and impact of client materials

Uphold our values of trust, service, and faithful stewardship in all interactions
Administrative & Mission Support (10%)

Assist in planning events and workshops on generosity and legacy giving

Provide financial data for donor reports and development efforts

Help manage CRM/database records related to fundholder activity

Support the CFO and team with administrative and strategic tasks as needed
What We're Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2+ years of experience in nonprofit finance or accounting roles

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel

Strong interpersonal skills and a heart for ministry and service

Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to excellence
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with fund accounting and investment reporting

Familiarity with donor-advised funds, endowments, or church finance
