Talntly is seeking a skilled and creative Director of Public Relations for a marketing client of ours. This position will be onsite, Mon-Fri in the Germantown district of Nashville, TN. This multifaceted role involves curating and editing engaging content for newsletters while also overseeing social media presence to enhance brand visibility and engage audience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and editing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of various social media platforms.

Job Responsibilites

Newsletter Writing/Editing:

  • This position involves strong research, writing, editing, content creation, and proofreading skills.

  • Should have an ability to adapt the tone and style to suit different audiences.

Public Relations/Fundraising:

  • Marketing strategies for newsletters, books, interviews, and podcasts.

  • Maximize revenue from book sales and donations.

  • Manage websites and keep all content up to date (survey’s, petitions, events pages, etc.)

  • Arrange interviews for public speaking opportunities, conferences, and election forums

  • Plan fundraising initiatives

  • Responsible for finding guests for podcasts and setup of podcast interviews

Social Media Mangement:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to promote our brand, products, and services across different platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).

  • Create engaging, shareable, and visually appealing content for social media posts,

  • including graphics, images, and videos.

  • Monitor social media trends, relevant hashtags, and industry news to stay up-to date and capitalize on opportunities for engagement.

  • Interact with followers, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries, and foster a positive community on our social media channels.

  • Implement social media advertising campaigns to expand reach and target specific audiences.

  • Analyze social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.

Podcast Management:

  • Supervise the production process

  • Manage the podcast production schedule and development

  • Record and produce podcast episodes

  • Research, contact, and schedule guests to join podcast

  • Prep the host and guests before podcast recording

  • Prepare questions before interviews

  • Manage each episode’s editing, recording and distribution

  • Monitor each episode’s analytics and metrics

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience writing, editing, content creation, and social media management.

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an ability to adapt the tone and style to suit different audiences.

  • Proficiency in all aspects of podcasts, social media management tools and analytics platforms.

  • Excellent understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.

  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms and experience with A/B testing for newsletters is a plus.

  • Familiarity with graphic design tools and basic image editing capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to edit and modify audio and video

  • Successful fundraising track record a huge plus
