Human Resource Director for a well-established company in Rome, NY


Qualifications

B.S. preferable with 5 years of experience in HR with minimum of 3 years as HR Manager OR 10+ years of experience in HR is required

Must be knowledgeable of current employment laws and regulations

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel [advanced], PowerPoint)

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, and monitors own work to ensure quality


The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the following:

Maximizing the Company’s potential as an attractive company

Keeping HR costs competitive

Select, recruit, train and retain people that fit into both the functional needs as to the corporate culture that the Company is trying to build

Manage the complexity of HR in a manufacturing environment

Design, plan, and implement human resource programs and policies including staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and various HR compliance functions

All aspects of unemployment

All aspects of Worker's Compensation

Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully

Maintains confidentiality, and is an attentive participant in discussions with employees concerning HR issues

Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans

Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
