Mobile Device Tester

Staff Management Group is seeking a Mobile Device Tester for our client in Old Bridge, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 9:30AM - 6PM on Mondays - Thursdays
• Summer Fridays: 9:30AM - 3:30PM
• Winter Fridays: 9:30AM - 2:30PM

Pay Rate:

• $18 / hour 

Job Summary:

We are currently hiring a Mobile Device Tester to inspect smartphones for cosmetic condition and accurately categorize them based on company grading standards. This role requires sharp attention to detail and basic computer skills for tracking device data and inventory updates.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect mobile devices and assign cosmetic grades according to internal classification procedures
• Identify physical imperfections, scratches, or damages and log them accurately
• Sort and organize phones based on inspection results and cosmetic standards
• Enter device conditions into inventory tracking software using basic PC applications
• Handle devices carefully to prevent any additional damage during testing or movement
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the shift
• Achieve productivity benchmarks while maintaining inspection accuracy
• Work with team leads to resolve classification issues or unclear findings
• Prepare tested devices for the next stage of processing or packaging

Job Requirements:

• Basic computer knowledge (e.g., Microsoft Windows, data entry platforms, inventory systems)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow visual and written SOPs
• Good organizational skills and a commitment to meeting production goals
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
• Prior experience in electronics testing, warehouse operations, or quality inspection is a plus
