Staff Management Group is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our client in Edison, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.


Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: 9AM - 6PM


Pay Rate:

  • $20 - $21 / hour 


Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and logistics-savvy Customer Service Representative (CSR) to manage in-house coordination between the logistics team, customer service department, and channel managers. A key responsibility of this role includes managing order routing in compliance with retailer and carrier-specific routing guides, ensuring all shipments meet service standards and vendor requirements. This is a non-customer-facing role focused on internal communication and operational support within the warehouse environment. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary internal point of contact between the warehouse, logistics, customer service, and channel management teams. 
  • Manage and route outbound orders according to customer-specific routing guides and carrier requirements. 
  • Review and interpret routing guides to ensure compliance with retailer and distributor expectations (e.g., delivery windows, packaging, labeling). 
  • Schedule pickups and coordinate shipping with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and freight carriers. 
  • Monitor daily order status and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment across all channels. 
  • Communicate proactively with customer service and channel managers regarding order delays, shipment issues, or routing conflicts. 
  • Maintain and update shipment data in ERP/WMS systems and ensure records are accurate and up to date. 
  • Assist in creating shipping labels, bills of lading (BOLs), and other required logistics documents. 
  • Generate and distribute daily/weekly logistics and order fulfillment reports. 
  • Support warehouse operations by prioritizing orders based on routing requirements and delivery deadlines.  


Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, order fulfillment, or warehouse customer service. 
  • Strong understanding of routing guides and vendor compliance processes. 
  • Experience with ERP and WMS platforms 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook. 
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.  


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with EDI systems and retailer compliance platforms (e.g., SPS Commerce, RetailLink). 
  • Prior experience working with major retail partners (e.g., Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc.). 
  • Basic understanding of freight terms (FOB, prepaid, collect) and shipping documentation.
