- 2nd Shift: 4PM - 12:30AM
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate:
- $30 - $35 / hour
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on the 2nd shift. This is a temp-to-hire role with a well-established manufacturing company. The right candidate will be tasked with diagnosing and repairing a variety of production machinery to support smooth operations and reduce equipment downtime.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled and preventive maintenance on production equipment such as mixers, conveyors, fillers, labelers, and packaging systems.
- Identify and resolve issues involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Replace or repair key components including motors, valves, pumps, belts, and sensors as needed.
- Maintain safe and efficient machine operation in compliance with SOPs, GMP standards, and OSHA regulations.
- Accurately log all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using a CMMS or written maintenance records.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and maintain product quality standards.
- Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and line changeovers as needed.
- Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional certification from a technical or trade school is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing environments.
- Solid mechanical skills with proven experience maintaining production machinery.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, basic PLC troubleshooting, and facility utilities.
- Capable of reading and understanding technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Understanding of safety regulations, GMPs, and preventive maintenance principles.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FDA, cGMP).
