Staff Management Group is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our client in Randolph, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.


Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: 7:30AM - 4PM
  • Monday - Friday


Pay Rate:

  • $25 - $40 / hour (Depends on experience)


Job Summary:

The Customer Service Representative will be expected to interact with customers to gather information critical to accurate and timely job processing. Act as an internal and external liaison for customers and in support of Sales activities. Responsibilities include ensuring that all required documentation and critical details are communicated clearly and timely to all groups such as Quality, Production, and Warehouse/Shipping-Receiving. Closely monitor all aspects of the job to ensure customer satisfaction. Act as Project Manager of selected projects – includes large or new, multi-faceted projects, new customers, all initial line set up, customer visits, etc.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer service to external customers including but not limited to tracking and reporting production progress, inventory balances, and coordinating shipment of finished goods.
  • Establish strong working relationships with customers to understand requirements. (May be required to travel to the customer, facilitate on-site meetings, daily communication to customers on large projects, etc.)
  • Handle all customer calls; respond professionally to inquiries and special requests from customers.
  • Review individual quote/Purchase Order per the customer’s pricing structure.
  • Work closely with production scheduling and Operations to ensure schedule and job completion meets customer needs.
  • Monitor inventory and purchasing as needed on all Unette/Praxis supplied materials and all customer supplied inventories.
  • Meet with customers on new projects, changes to current procedures, and schedule prioritizing (update Purchase Order status when needed).
  • Complete purchase order requests for materials needed for customer Purchase Orders.
  • Update customer on status of their Purchase Orders.
  • Work with Production and Quality Assurance on work instructions.
  • Ensure the timely receipt of orders and entry into the computer system.
  • Assist other Sales Coordinators/Account Manager and cross train on all accounts.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customer base; including, but not limited to: phone calls, emails, meetings (onsite and at Praxis) and working directly onsite customer premises.
  • Travel locally to on-site customer locations as required.
  • Responsible for adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Works to improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through the use of the quality. policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions.
  • Instills a sense of quality through modeled quality behaviors and mindset.
  • Elevates complaints and problems, seeks Management assistance.
  • Ensure proper PPE’s and Safety procedures are followed.
  • Flexibly work other shifts, shifts may be 8, 10 or 12 hours as needed.
  • Performs any other functions and duties assigned and necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of Praxis Packaging Solutions.


Job Requirements:

  • ?Associate in Science (or Arts) degree required.
  • Sales experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Familiarity with contract and third-party manufacturing experience very beneficial
  • 3-5 years’ Customer Service or Account Mgmt. or similar experience required.
  • The ability to work independently, without supervision required.
  • Ability to organize priorities and workload required.
  • Higher level abilities with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Sales CRM software preferred.
  • Strong English skills - Ability to speak, read and write English in a manner to write Work Instructions and communicate with customers.


Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch. Raise and lower an object from one level to another, less than 10 lbs. Good (corrected) eyesight and hand/eye coordination. Normal office environment with little exposure to dust and weather conditions prevalent at the time (i.e., cold, hot/humid). May also require visits to production area – where employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust and weather conditions prevalent at the time (cold, hot/humid).
