Print Shop Assistant

Staff Management Group is seeking a Print Shop Assistant for our client in Edison, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8AM - 5PM on Mondays - Thursdays AND 8AM - 2PM on Fridays

Pay Rate:

• $19 - $20 / hour 

Job Summary:

The Print Shop Assistant is responsible for operating a digital printing machine that customizes water bottles with client logos. This role requires basic computer skills, attention to detail when reviewing client files, and the ability to learn and follow printing procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor the custom printing machine to apply logos and designs to water bottles.
• Review client files to ensure artwork is correct, properly formatted, and compatible with the printing process.
• Set up print jobs using software similar to Cricut or other large-format design programs.
• Adjust machine settings for alignment, sizing, and color accuracy.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot printing issues as needed.
• Ensure printed products meet quality standards before packaging or shipping.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

Job Requirements:

• Must speak and understand English clearly.
• Must be computer literate and comfortable with design or printing software.
• Some experience or familiarity with printing equipment is preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to spot formatting or design issues.
• Trainable and willing to learn specific processes and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
