Fabricator/Welder

Welder - Kalamazoo, MI

1st shift, 7:00am-3:30pm, $20+/hour Based On Experience

Job Duties:

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols accurately
• Cut, fit, and assemble fabricated metal parts using saws, torches, grinders, and other tools
• Assist press/laser operators with various shop tasks
• Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy and weld integrity
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Adhere to company safety standards and MIOSHA guidelines
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project specifications and timeline

Requirements:

• Some experience in metal fabrication and welding
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience with fabrication tools and shop equipment
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
• Welding certification a plus but not required
• Ability to lift and or move up to 25+lbs. throughout the entire shift
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle and feel
• Specific vision abilities required for various jobs include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
• Ability to understand and communicate (talk-read-hear) work instructions
