Quality Technician

Quality Technician - Decatur, MI

1st Shift, Mon-Thurs, $21.25+/Hour Based On Experience

Job Duties: 

• Perform a variety of quality control tests on products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Physically measures component attributes and utilizes visual acceptance standards to verify compliance.
• Records dimensional/visual data comparing to standards.
• Analyzes data and determines acceptance.
• Follows established procedures for inspection methods and non-conformance activities.
• Participates in problem solving activities with others inside and/or outside the organization.
• Recommend modifications to existing, or suggest new standards, methods and procedures.

Requirements:

• Performs work under limited supervision.
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Quality system standards, methods and procedure knowledge is required.
• Metrology knowledge is a plus.
• Possesses working knowledge of subject matter.
• Associate's degree along with 2-5 years of experience.

Primary Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
• Required to occasionally stand and walk.
• Occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 70 lbs with assistance.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
