Forklift Operator- Elkhart, IN

All Shifts - 1st, 2nd, 3rd - up to $22/hr.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating a forklift to move materials and products throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting and possess a strong commitment to safety and accuracy. This candidate has experience handling larger loads  

Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to transport materials and products to and from storage areas, production lines, or trucks.
• Load and unload materials and products from trucks and storage areas using a forklift or other material handling equipment.
• Inspect forklifts and other equipment before use to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Maintain accurate records of materials and products moved, including quantity and location.
• Assist with inventory management by performing cycle counts and participating in physical inventory audits.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout the entire shift.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift larger loads such as plywood or long boards 
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Basic math skills.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and operate a forklift for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work outside in the elements
