Laser and Turret PUNCH PRESS Set up/Operator (CUTTING DEPARTMENT ) Client has changes shift to 2nd shift Summary of Position: Set-up, Operate Lasers, and Turret Punch Presses. Includes setup, tooling and loading in machine to produce a variety of small, medium and/or large parts, ranging from simple to complex, which are within prescribed tolerances Job Duties: Department Lead • Operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) on respective AMADA brand equipment • Performs machine set-ups, adjusting and loading tooling, and making changes at the controls for parts as required for specifications set forth in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc. • Check parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances Operator/Setup • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and/or materials to Supervisor or Quality Control Specialist (QC) • Setup and operate machines, independently with limited supervision • Ensure the work area is kept clean and free from hazards • Collaborate with other departments as needed • Assist in departmental measurable goals relating production concerns, quality, and efficiency • Assist in monthly inventory count to ensure proper inventory control • Actively look for ways to improve the profitability and productivity of the company Skills and Experience Required: • Experience welcomed but not necessary, willing to train the right motivated individual • Ability to interpret documents and drawings • Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work • Must be organized and pay close attention to detail to optimize quality processes and increase efficiency • Be able to lift to 50 lbs. routinely • Ability to stand for minimum of 8 hours Education or Experience: • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required); College Degree preferred • United States Work Authorization (Required) • Experience with any of the following is a plus: Amada Vipros, Amada EMK, Amada AE, Turret Press Machines, Mitsubishi Laser MUST HAVE 1-2 YEARS EXPERIENCE CNC OPERATOR
