Press brake operator/Set Up (FORMING DEPARTMENT) Client has changed shift to 2nd Summary: Press brake operators produce parts and tools from metal using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends. The use of hand tools such as dial calipers, bar micrometer, squares and protractors. Converting decimals to fractions is also part of the daily tasks. Duties: • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and/or materials to Supervisor or Quality • Operate machines, independently with limited supervision • Ensure the work area is kept clean and free from hazards • Collaborate with other departments as needed • Assist in departmental measurable goals relating production concerns, quality and efficiency Skills: • Must be able to work at fast pace, follow instructions and be self-motivated • Requires excellent math skills including fractions, and geometry • Requires ability to read measuring equipment, calipers and other tools • Requires ability to read blueprints and calculate bend allowances • Work independently with minimal supervision • Must work well with others • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely • Ability to stand for minimum of 8 hours • Ensure and verify parts match to customer drawings • Provide immediate feedback when problems occur - MUST HAVE 1-2 YEARS EXPERIENCE PRESS BREAK OPERATOR
