Job Title: Director of Business Development
Location: Sand City, CA
Pay: $80k-$90k + Commission
About the job:
As the Director of Business Development, you’ll be the driving force behind generating new opportunities and expanding client relationships across architecture, construction, engineering, and interior design services. You’ll represent the firm in the field, at networking events, and in strategic partnerships—owning the full client lifecycle from outreach to project kickoff.
We're looking for someone who:

Has a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, or Construction Management (preferred)

Brings 5+ years of business development or sales experience, ideally within AEC industries

Has a proven track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships

Is confident in negotiations, presentations, and face-to-face interactions

Is organized, proactive, and thrives in both independent and collaborative settings

Is comfortable with CRM tools, Google Workspace, and lead generation platforms

Can work in-office at least 3 days a week
What you'll do:

Generate leads and develop new business strategies across service lines

Build and maintain client relationships from first contact through project launch

Attend and represent the firm at industry events and networking functions

Collaborate with marketing on materials, proposals, and social media presence

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure clear communication and project alignment

Lead proposal and bid submissions, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery

Track pipeline performance, analyze trends, and report on business development efforts
