Job Title: Paint Prep 3
Location: Fremont, CA
Pay: $20–$23/hr

About the job:
As a Paint Prep 3, you'll take on advanced surface preparation to achieve high-grade cosmetic finishes (Class A, B, or C). You’ll work hands-on with sanding, bonding, masking, and quality control to ensure parts are fully ready for the paint process.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

• Has prior experience handling Paint Prep 1 & 2 duties

• Understands grit ratings, masking, and oscillation techniques

• Is skilled with hand tools, sanders, grinders, and detailed instructions (DPPI)

• Takes pride in detail-oriented work and cosmetic quality

• Can work safely and flexibly across departments as needed

What you'll do:

• Prep surfaces to meet Class A, B, or C finish standards

• Apply bondo to conceal hardware and ensure smooth surfaces

• Clean and mask parts following strict internal and customer specs

• Conduct adhesion and powder coat cure tests

• Operate sanding and grinding tools with precision

• Train others on masking and prep techniques

• Follow all safety protocols and use proper PPE

• Collaborate with engineering to refine prep processes
