CNC Machinist (Level III)

Job Title: Machinist 3
Location: Fremont, CA
Pay: $24-$28/hr

About the job:
As a Machinist 3, you will lead advanced machining operations, including setups, programming collaboration, and quality assurance. You'll utilize your extensive experience to design fixtures, optimize CNC processes, and mentor team members while ensuring high standards in production.

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a high school diploma or GED (post-secondary CNC education preferred).

• Has 8+ years of CNC machine operation experience.

• Is proficient in G & M code fluency with program editing capabilities.

• Possesses high-level blueprint reading skills.

• Has a strong understanding of machine programming, setup, and operation.

• Is skilled in using precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Can troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and technical issues effectively.

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

• Has Lathe experience and Laser experience.

• Horizontal and Vertical CNC experience.

What you'll do:

• Perform machine setups quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

• Collaborate with engineering and CAM programming teams to develop and enhance CNC programs.

• Design and fabricate fixtures for parts with varying levels of complexity.

• Advise supervisors and programming teams on technical advancements to improve production efficiency.

• Operate CNC machines for production runs, ensuring accuracy and quality.

• Maintain adherence to the Quality Management System to ensure high-quality standards.

• Monitor and document operational and performance issues, providing actionable feedback.

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and staff.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
